Let’s explore Downtown Disney at the end of the day! Let’s meet at 5:15 with a plan to start walking at 5:30 and check out the various sights of the area.
Sunset is around 6:20 so we should be able to get some nice images with the pre-sunset light as well as things darkening and lights coming on post-sunset. There will be street photo opportunities of tourists as well as the interesting signage and architecture in the area. The monorail and park entrances offer several other unique photo possibilities.
Given the time of day, you may want to bring something to stabilize your camera if you’re going to do any long(ish) exposures. I haven’t had issues with a tripod in the area previously although we’ll want to make sure we aren’t disrupting anything. If you have a Gorillapod, they work great as there are plenty of things that can be used to attach it to or set it on.
This walk will not go into either of the Disney parks; no Disney tickets/passes are required.
I’m Aaron, your photo walk leader… this will be the fourth time I’ve lead a Worldwide Photo Walk event. I’ve been into photography for about 15 years; in addition to doing it professionally I also run WP Photographers helping folks around the intersection of photography and WordPress.
