Thank You Photo Walkers !

On October 11, 2014, over 20,000 walkers from countries all over the world took to the streets to participate in Scott Kelby’s Annual Worldwide Photo Walk. Even after the seventh year, the outpouring of camaraderie and creativity still continues to amaze us. On top of the participation, we’re even more humbled by the success of this year’s “Walk with a Purpose” initiative, which raised over $34,000 for Springs of Hope Orphanage in Kenya. Thanks to the generosity of our photo walkers, we raised more dollars than we had walkers and tripled our efforts from years past.

Now, after deliberating over images from more than 1,000 walks worldwide, we present our Grand Prize winner, along with the Top 10 Finalists selected by our host, Scott Kelby. A big thank you goes out to all of our participants, our amazing sponsors, and everyone else who helped create such an inspiring event.

Stay tuned for more information as we countdown the days to next year’s Photo Walk.

2014 Grand Prize Winner

"There is just something about this shot. I kept coming back to it again and again. I love the overall tone of the image, and how you just see these individual drops frozen in time like that. There’s not enough water so that it looks cheezy (which can happen when freezing water in a fountain), and love the composition with that wide open area to the right. I wish I could give you a better technical reason why I like it, but I think it’s 100% an emotional response. If you keep coming back to it again and again, then you just there’s something special there, and I think this is a very special shot." -Scott Kelby (at his blog)
